Robbie has been fishing for 34 years and competitively for the last 24 years. He is the most capped Western Province angler of all time ending in the Western Province top ten on more than 10 occasions, winning the Light Tackle section 3 times. Robbie has represented South Africa against Namibia on two occasions and was crowned the individual champion at his first International tournament. He has extensive knowledge of the South African coastline and has fished from Zululand down the coast to his home waters in Cape Town, then up again to the productive waters of the West Coast.

Robbie has also been involved with management of the junior provincial team as well as being a guide for the England and South African National Teams.

He displays great leadership qualities and as captain has lead his local angling team to top honours.

Robbie still recalls catching his 35 kg Cob like it was yesterday and has caught numerous Raggied Tooth Sharks above 100 kgs.

Robbie is a well respected angler and has extensive knowledge to share.
